My playlist right now (is awesome):
Ivan & Alyosha – Running for Cover
Running for Cover is from Ivan & Alyosha’s first full-length album, which comes out next week (on Tuesday in Canada). You can listen to the full album on NPR and the whole thing is stunningly beautiful and intelligently crafted.
Kopecky Family Band – Heartbeat
I can’t get enough of Kopecky Family Band’s first full-length album. It was love on first, second, third, 100th listen.
Barr Brothers – Lord I Just Can’t Keep From Crying
This song is so reminiscent of early Black Keys, but the whole Barr Brothers album is incredibly varied containing some of the most gorgeous folk songs.
The Paper Kites – Bloom
How do you choose just one The Paper Kites song? This Aussie folk band writes music so breathtakingly beautiful.
Bombay Bicycle Club – Ivy & Gold
Just because 🙂
I could easily go on – maybe throw in a little Matthew and the Atlas, perhaps a bit of Boy and Bear, maybe even some Bahamas – but these are the songs currently making my Thursday.
