August is going to be great musically

Oh my goodness, what? One of us is posting on Friday for the first time in ages? Yup. But hold on, folks, it might not be that terribly exciting. I think it is, but I guess if we start questioning things like this, we start questioning the whole premise of blogging, and our brother already did that. Continue reading

I dropped the ball, so here, look at Matthew Lewis being generally gorgeous.

I really dropped the ball on Triple Post Thursday yesterday. Actually I dropped the ball on just posting at all yesterday. It was an awkward stressful sort of day where I just felt anxious and nauseous all day long and that’s not really all that interesting, nor is it prime material for a blog post. So when I got home from celebrating Hil’s graduation at 10:00 last night (YAY CONGRATS HILLY!), I created this post. It’s what I was in the mood for, and I don’t think you all will mind it much either 😉 I give you photos of Matthew Lewis. Continue reading

One-Trick Ponies

This movie is directed by the same people who made The Hangover and The Hangover II. They are also responsible for The Change-Up and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Clearly they’re kind of one-trick ponies. That’s not to say that their one trick isn’t excellent, because The Hangover is great. Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is most definitely not.

A Tribute to Nora Ephron: Why I Love You’ve Got Mail

Yes, I know. This tribute is very, very belated. Nora Ephron passed away in June. But at the time of her death I was just not paying attention. Of course it doesn’t actually matter if I was paying attention or not, unlike the ladies of Sarcasm Soapbox I am not known internationally, but her movies made such on impact on my life that I’ve been wanting to write a piece about it for a while now. And lucky for me I’m friends with these two sarcastic women. Continue reading

You Say Escapade, I Say Romp

Last night at dance, we warmed up to Janet Jackson’s “Escapade” in the jazz class that I take. When I mentioned to my good friend and teacher Kim that I had never heard the song before, she was flabbergasted. Yes, I said it, flabbergasted. For those of you like me, here’s the video. Continue reading

I’ve Given In To The Avant-Garde

I don’t know what it is, maybe just prolonged exposure, but I’ve begun to give in to the avant-garde. Let me be clear, however, that I have not accepted all of it. I still wholly reject the stuff that sounds like I’m about to be murdered by Satan’s tiny, baby army. No Karlheinz Stockhausen for me. Continue reading
