Jason Derulooooooo!

I’ve just seen this new Jason Derulo music video. First of all, I would like to say that I’m quite pleased he’s stopped shouting out his own name. On the other hand, now he’s found someone else to do it for him, so I’m less pleased about that.

It looks like the video was shot in Dr. Suess’ house with Liberace’s furniture. But also a little bit like they borrowed a green screen from The Lion King for the dance numbers.

Never has there been more seductive trumpet playing.

This Cyrus Mash-up Cover Might Just Make Your Monday

Well, it has been a long time, and I apologize profusely. But I have returned! And I bring you excellent things!

This Miley Cyrus cover is both ridiculous and fantastic all at once. It has violins and Billy Ray Cyrus, but still manages to be excellent. Enjoy! Continue reading

This song made my day

My most favourite band in the whole entire world is absolutely the Shout Out Louds (though only by a hair these days because the Jungle Giants are just so super great too), and today I learned that Ted, from SOL, has released a couple EPs with his wife, under the name A Nighthawk. They’re just brilliant as anything associated with the Shout Out Louds would be. I highly suggest you check them out; this song made my day. Continue reading

Bramble Jam

Yesterday my parents bought me a little present. It may have been for the dance recital, but I’m not sure. It is incredibly inventive to buy someone tiramisu and jam instead of flowers, I’ll say that much. In any case, the tiramisu was delicious and so is the jam. What kind of jam is it, you ask? Well, I’ll tell you. It’s bramble jam. Yes, that’s right, bramble jam. Continue reading

I was looking up new music this morning. I do this often because I a) like to discover new things, and b) get bored easily and quickly. I have a very poor attention span. It must be somewhat genetic because my brother’s the same. We couldn’t go to church during the summer because there was no Sunday school and we couldn’t sit still and pay attention long enough. Oh Look, It’s Monday Again

A while ago, I was listening to the radio in my car (which fills me with such rage) and heard “Manic Monday” by The Bangles. Besides the fact that I think this song is needlessly irritating, if not without its certain charm, I was particularly annoyed because it wasn’t Monday at all, but actually Thursday. Continue reading

Force Fields Keep People Apart

I love this song like a hipster loves owl sweaters, which is to say a lot. Why do I love it? Because I think it’s hilarious. And wrong. Continue reading

Are you totally confused when you listen to the radio? Maybe you don’t know what exactly it is that Kesha is trying to tell you. No one really does, but I’m going to try to help you out a bit. So here goes nothing. Continue reading
